Just thought I'd be that girl, and post an awesome picture of my yummy dinner last night... I'm on an asparagus kick right now, and this was SO. GOOD. I repeat. SO GOOD. Like I wish I had a giant bucket of it already prepared to eat whenever I want. I tossed fresh asparagus in olive oil, salt, peppers, lots of garlic, and powdered Parmesan cheese. Then we grilled them! David does the old charcoal grill, so these turned out so, so good. They had that charcoal taste, along with the garlic and cheese --- heavenly. David took them off the grill before the chicken, so they cooled a bit and formed a kind of crunchy shell.
We took the chicken breasts and marinated them in the same stuff as the asparagus and grilled also! SO GOOD! Totally not a new to anyone, earth shattering meal whatsoever. But I was excited about it, and therefore you get to be subjected to it!
The sunshine brings out the tasty around these parts, I think. I'm having a lot of fun taking chicken and just making up my own marinades/rubs. They all turn out so yummy!! :)
And we have more asparagus! Time to get creative again, and convince my husband to fire up the grill. Not like I'll have to twist his arm too much...
